POWER LINES

Power-line drone inspection in Spain for pylons, insulators and corridors

Overhead lines cross terrain that is slow to patrol on foot and costly by helicopter. We fly visual inspections of pylons, insulators, fittings and conductor spans along Spanish distribution and transmission corridors, and map the vegetation beneath them, in coordination with the line operator.

FOR YOUR PROJECT

A service designed around the result.

Distribution and transmission operators, electrical contractors, renewable plant owners with private evacuation lines, and vegetation management teams working along Spanish power corridors.

What it can include

  • Pylon and crossarm visual detail
  • Insulator strings and fittings
  • Conductor, damper and splice overview
  • Corridor vegetation mapping
  • Findings tagged by tower number

WHY DRONEX

What changes when the flight is planned properly.

01

Safe distance, sharp detail

Long optical zoom lets us photograph insulators, clamps and dampers from a distance that respects the electrical clearance the operator specifies.

02

Corridor and structure together

One programme covers the towers close up and the corridor from above, so vegetation encroachment and structural issues appear in the same dataset.

03

Private lines welcome

Solar and wind plants with their own evacuation lines get the same inspection discipline that large operators apply, scaled to a few kilometres.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before you request a quote.

Tell us about your project
Can you inspect a live high-voltage line with a drone?

Yes, from standoff distances agreed with the operator and with attention to electromagnetic interference and clearance. The line does not need to be de-energised for visual inspection, though the operator sets the conditions.

Who reviews the power-line images for defects?

The operator's line engineers or a qualified inspection contractor. We deliver images and video organised by tower and span; they identify cracked insulators, corrosion, broken strands or damaged fittings.

How do you handle a long corridor in remote terrain?

We plan access points along the route, fly tower to tower in sections and log progress by tower number each day. For very long routes we schedule several days and confirm weather windows in advance.
